I am continually amazed at all the great women artists who flew under my radar for so many years. So glad to see light now shining on many of these great talents. Today I learned about Rina Lazo, a Guatemalan-Mexican artist who was a key figure in the Mexican muralist movement. This is her self-portrait. I don't know the date, but given that she was born in 1923, I'm guessing this was painted 1940s. So beautiful!
